Well, this is my last posting for SCORM. I find it ironic that at the end of this project I am finally beginning to find other information about this technology that puts it into perspective> Oh well, better late then never! Anyway, this article discusses some of the technology we are using for our online classes and how SCORM plays a part in elearning. Enjoy! http://falcon.tamucc.edu/~ejones/papers/ASEE02.pdf

About Me

- Name: Cyn
- Location: Endwell, New York, United States
I'm a graduate student of Syracuse University with a MSLIS-School Media certification. I am currently the Library Director of a small rural library and love it!! I have four boys, with only one left at home in his first year of high school:/ I used to live on a small mini farm of 3 acres raising goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, ducks and geese. Unfortunately, after my divorce I was forced to leave that lifestyle. While it's been years from leaving that life, I long to return to it "some day." I miss it so very much! I'm finally in a place where I can begin to think of returning to that lifestyle so I enjoy reading blogs about what others are doing out there living the dream!

The first portion of the article does a nice job of explaining how SCORM came about (Developed by the military, etc.).
The second half of the article got a little too much into the actual proramming that has to be imbedded within the tags/labels so that the instructional material can be catalogued and found. I'm not that technical either!
(And for the record, I have TV, but no cable. So I'm horrible about keeping up with current events unless I make a point of looking at a news website, which only happens once or twice a week.)
